Another week in San Luis Potosi. Oh the life of a missionary

This week was pretty chill.....

Wednesday we had a 6 hour meeting with Pres Hernandez, and the only thing I can say about it is this, that was a loooooooooooooooooong meeting!

Thursday I ate cake and visited an investigator and we gave him a baptism goal. 

Sunday we had 3 investigators attend church!!!!! The weirdest thing happened!!!! So Rolando (a convert from my first area, Moreno, but he is drinking again and has not attended church in a long time) went to church a little drunk. When he is drunk he just blurts out a lot of stuff, so we talked to him about doing better with everything.  Then I said, “We can give you a blessing to help you!”  He asked me to give it.   I was a little nervous.  Gave him his blessing, and said to avoid the garden (the drinking place in our area)

Monday comes a long, and we see him there talking to people again and drinking so ya. 

We have found a way to teach Janet again, but it will be hard because it is only on the weekends when we can teach her!!!!

We are working real hard with Jorge Jr so he can get baptized too!!!!

P-Day excursion

today's E mail: Lunch with a 70, "Fancy Smancy"

This week was really funny!!!!!!!!!

After writing you guys last week we had a Family Home Evening.  One of the kids there asked me “Elder Smiley how do you comb your hair in the mornings?”  Elder Rosas and I just died laughing at that!  I am really going bald. 

Other funny moment is when we were leaving an OXXO a dude stopped me and said “Dude, you have some cool eyes.   Gay guys are here too!!  did not know that............

The presidente of the 70 visited us for our stake conference!!!! It was intense.   He lectured the stake members and basically chastised them.  I have never seen a general authority lecture members like that.

Later for our lunch appointment Elder Moreno and I ate with the presidente of the 70, President Hernandez, and Presidente Gutierrez (the stake pres)........

It was so funny because it was so fancy we had extra spoons and Elder Moreno and I did not know what one to use for the soup!!!!! It was so funny!!!!!!!!!

This week was nuts. It was very funny.  We found a lot of investigators.  They are Alejandro, Janet, Oscar and Mayda!!!!  Elder Moreno and I have  had so many laughs, it has been the best!!! 

On Sunday I was so full,  so I asked him to eat my food.  He said he was full too! When the member who was feeding us asked us if we wanted more we said, “Of course!” 

Later, we laughed so hard.

Today we had our Nerf war.  It was the best. 

We had a really hard rainstorm, no joke, it almost got in our house.  It was up to my knees outside in the street.  It was so cool!!

Our investigators is progressing.  She just needs the lessons and the BAM we are going to ask her who she wants to baptize her.

MY BRO WILL BE A MEXICAN!!

MEXICO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HECK YA, I love Puebla, I have a ton of friends there!!!!!!! Hermana Cruz is from there!!!!!

So on Sunday a new convert got up and said I am so grateful for the missionaries,  Elder Moreno and, well I do not know his name very well but . . . . Elder Wendys........ Good try!!  Not known here in my new area too well yet. 

Although I am not district leader, I love my district again!!!!!!!! Elder Esparza, my old zone leader, was so happy when I walked into our last Zone Meeting.   He is the coolest!!!!!

Yesterday we got a bunch of rain and I have never seen Elder Moreno run so fast!!!!!!! He is not that athletic, and he almost beat me to the house jajajajja!!!!!!!!!!

Today we bought  a bunch of groceries and stuff and it was so funny to see the face of Elder Moreno. .He just kept looking at everything, looking like “Man, we have a bunch of stuff here.” 

Well that is all I got...
